Meteor Shower on October 21st

Meteor Shower on October 21st

The Orionids Meteor Shower will best viewed on October 21st just before dawn, although they should be visible between midnight and dawn. The meteors will originate in Orion and you should be able to see about 15 per hour.

These meteors are debris left over from Halley’s Comet that enter the Earths atmosphere and vaporize as they fall. Earth crosses Halley’s comet debris field annually in October.
