International Space Station Dodges Space Junk
The International Space Station is planning to change its orbit after narrowly avoiding two pieces of space junk last week.
There are at least 21000 objects in orbit around the earth, which makes it a very messy place indeed to be flying around in.
Even an impact from very small objects could have cause serious problems due to the speed these items travel at.
Below is a picture of a space shuttle window after impact from a fleck of paint.
Currently Nasa tracks objects over 3.9 inches in orbit to help prevent serious damage to spacecraft.
